Blogging has become a phenomenon during the past couple of years. The internet and the digital age have changed the way we communicate drastically. Digital cameras have made our life much easier. Not so long ago (!) in the film camera days we used to have to wait a few days to get the film developed and after discarding the blown out, incorrectly exposed or downright bad photos we would glue the print to an A4 sheet and display at the shop window. How times have changed. A photo can now circle the globe and be online in seconds.

We hope that through this blog our clients can keep up-to-date with property related news, new properties that come on the market and accommodation special offers we occasionally launch.

Gozo Homes Real Estate was formed nearly six years ago and is now run by the husband and wife team of Tonio and Clarissa Schembri. Our aim is to provide an excellent service with plenty of smiles to boot. As this is the first post of what hopefully will be many maybe now's the time you all become familiar with our setup and services.

Our core business has and always will be property sales in Gozo. For those who may not have been on planet Earth the past few months it may have just dawned on them that we are going through a world wide recession. For those of us running our own businesses it may not be the most pleasant experience but I have to admit I am quite surprised by how busy we’ve been since early spring. This is a time when the savvy investors come out and together with our experience unearth a bargain. In the next few weeks through this blog we will be highlighting some gems. These will be the kind of properties that when looked at in a few years time the lucky owner will finish the sentence like this, “…wow what a bargain this turned out to be!”

Another important department of our company is villa and apartment holiday letting. Over the last few years we have built a healthy base of repeat clients who visit Gozo at least once a year. All our guests whether repeat or first-time benefit from our warm hospitality. Earlier this year we launched a new website at Gozo Holiday Homes. Apart from what we believe are very good prices our site displays available dates for each property. Although not accurate to the minute (we may have bookings that aren’t yet confirmed) this will go a long way in helping you make a decision on your next holiday in Gozo. Project Management of shell or unconverted properties is another service we are happy to offer. This is a hugely rewarding aspect of our business. Clients who purchase an unfinished property from us usually trust us with the project management and we’ve never failed to deliver. Property owners have direct input on all matters as this is the one chance they have for a property finished to their specifications. Throughout the years we’ve established a good number of contacts that I trust to deliver on time and on budget. It is extremely important to us that the clients end up 100% satisfied with their property and attention to detail is what sets us apart from others. We’re not interested in taking 10 or 20 projects a year but just one or two at a time so each project has our undivided attention. You will soon be seeing a couple of recent projects that we did with some before and after shots. So there you go, one more reason to keep following this blog.

We did not set up our company to make a quick buck, once a client purchases a property from us our intention is to build a healthy business relationship and our Property Management Service does just that. Suited mostly for overseas clients we ensure that the property is taken care of while vacant, through frequent inspections. We also pay bills, organize cleaning, redirect mail, etc. For a small yearly fee property owners are safe in the knowledge that their property is looked after.
