Cooking Workshop in a Gozo Farmhouse

31 March is a National Holiday and falls on a Thursday so for many Maltese it makes perfect sense to go to Gozo for the long weekend. Ferry trip (hopefully not too long a queue), a short drive up to the farmhouse, maybe stop at a local supermarket on the way and settle down at the accommodation. Next day, breakfast, head out to Victoria, some shopping, lunch, relaxing or maybe a nice walk in the countryside, back to the farmhouse and see who’s turn it is to cook dinner. Next day, a lie in, brunch, pack everything and start making plans to go back home.

Life is great and you are feeling refreshed. Well we can make it even better this time. Why not take part in a cooking class? We are organizing a Traditional Gozitan Food workshop to be held at Dar Sabiha, our flagship farmhouse accommodation. A group of up to 10 persons can rent the farmhouse from 31 March to 3 April for the total cost of €890. This includes three nights’ accommodation, one day cooking course and we will also throw in a free starter for the whole group at Mojos Restaurant in Victoria. It all works out to less than €30 per person per night. Luxury accommodation, unique experience = great value.

Our chef and food photographer Claire Borg, is cooking up something interesting and she will make sure you leave the island with a few new ideas. Weather permitting you will also get to pick wild plants and learn how to use them. How to make old and new recipes using ingredients in season in the local markets.

Did you know Gozitan Qassatat have raisins in them? Did you know wild nettles are edible (can’t wait for this one)? Ever make a cake with Zucchini? All this and more! See you in Gozo for the long weekend starting 31 March. You are in for something different, interesting and educational.

We have space for only one group of 10 persons, so gather your friends, family, work colleagues etc and contact us without delay. You can call on 21564323 or 99452539.
